Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across Huntsville and surrounding area’s Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within the assigned region in a safe, timely, and professional manner Operate flatbed equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards Transport general freight and bulk materials in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs. Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required Core Requirements (All Driver Roles) Valid DZ driver's license Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year) Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach Role-Specific Requirements Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 3 / DZ driving experience Minimum 1 year of verifiable flatbed experience Experience securing loads using chains and straps in all weather conditions Experience hauling steel, lumber, or similar freight Strong knowledge of [Insert City] and surrounding areas Why Work for Canada Cartage?
