Job details

GENERAL REGISTRANT (GR) POSITION Seeking applicants for a 6 month locum, or 12 month contract, with possibility of extension The Midwives Clinic of East-York Don Mills (TMC) is a large urban practice in the east end of Toronto. We have privileges at Michael Garron Hospital, and the Toronto Birth Centre. We have full scope, and excellent relationships with our consultants. We serve a diverse clientele, including a large number of uninsured clients. One of our teams also works out of Women’s Health in Women’s Hands CHC; a community health centre serving uninsured and racialized people from the African, Black, Caribbean, Latin American and South Asian communities in Toronto. We are looking to hire one GR for a 3-RM/POD, shared call position, with an on-boarding start date of November 1, 2026, and an on-call start date of December 1, 2026. We are able to accommodate a start date in January 2027 for the right candidate. This position is already fully booked from December onward. We are urgently looking to fill a 6 month period starting December 1, 2026, however we have capacity to hire for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension beyond that. We therefore encourage anyone looking for a 6 month locum or anyone looking for a longer contract to apply. The successful candidate can anticipate a caseload of 32-36 BCCs/year and excellent support and mentoring. We invite MEP or IMPP graduates to apply, and we strongly encourage BIPOC applicants. Additional languages spoken will be an asset. We plan to hold interviews as soon as possible. If interested, please send a letter of interest and your CV with “GR position” in the subject line to: frontdesk@themidwivesclinic.ca or fax to 647-689-2933.
