Job Description Internal Job Title: Porter Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: 145 Richmond Road and 975 Gladstone Avenue, Ottawa, ON Work Model: On-site Work Hours: Shift – 37.5 hrs/week Job Status: Future Opportunity Position Summary As a Porter in our Building Services department, you'll maintain a clean and organized environment across all CBN facilities. Your role will involve performing general cleaning activities and moving materials within production areas. This position is ideal for motivated self-starters looking to advance to skilled trade positions within the company. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, mopping, polishing floors, cleaning windows, removing garbage, collecting recycling, and stocking supplies. Maintain the entire building, including administrative rooms, meeting rooms, common areas, cafeterias, locker rooms, and washrooms. Move materials (goods on pallets) within specified production areas using carts, pallet jacks, mobile hydraulic lifts, and forklifts. Ensure departments are stocked with required materials and transport finished goods to designated areas. Adapt to dynamic daily tasks based on production demands and building traffic. Prepare meeting rooms and client visit areas. Various other duties and responsibilities.
