ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY Canadian Base Operators’ Meaford team is growing! The Communications and Electronics Repair Technician is located in Meaford at the Army Training Centre - Central and typically reports directly to the Communications Repair Supervisor. The primary focus of this role is to perform the duties of a Communications and Electronics Repair Technician, leveraging experience in communications systems and electronic equipment repair, with a strong specialization in radio frequency (RF) communications equipment. COMPENSATION, BENEFITS, AND PERKS Annual salary - $68,000-$70,000 Company supplied tools Regular daytime hours, Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm Company pension program Company paid health & dental Employee referral program Starting with three (3) weeks of paid vacation Paid personal days Employer-paid training and development DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform corrective, preventative and modification maintenance on all communications and electronic equipment assigned for repair Look up and order repair parts; Keep workspaces and general areas clean, orderly and hazard free Operate and service trade specific and common hand and power tools Perform any other duties as requested by the Supervisor or those that may be required to assist other sections or departments. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Change Orientation Communicates Effectively Customer Focus Holds Self and Others Accountable Teamwork and Collaboration Values and Respects Others EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma DND LCIS QL5 or a College Technician diploma in Electronic or Computer Maintenance (08B9) The following certifications/designations are considered an asset Knowledge of DND policies and procedures is an additional asset WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS G Driver License Clean driving record SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Proficient knowledge and understanding of: Know the correct use, maintenance and safety procedures of the hand tools and powered equipment related to this type of work while applying that knowledge Organization and time management Excellent oral and written communications skills (English) *Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance- continuous residency in Canada for the last 10 years is a mandatory requirement. * APPLY TODAY! To obtain a Secret Security Clearance from the Government of Canada, applicants must undergo a comprehensive 10-year background check. Applicants will be required to provide detailed information covering the past 10 years, including employment, education, and residency history. Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma and a DND LCIS QL5 or a College Technician diploma in Electronic or Computer Maintenance. Candidates must possess a valid G Driver License and be able to obtain a Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance.
