Located in British Columbia, Topflight offers mountain and advanced flight training.As part of Topflight; you’ll contribute to an important School of Advanced Flight Training while enjoying permanent, meaningful, and stable work with room to grow.Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a pilot instructor to perform advanced mountain training, aircraft type and emergency training, vertical reference / water bucket training, basic and advanced NVG training and night rating.Here are the detailed responsibilities of the role:Provide high-quality flight instruction to military and civilian students, ensuring safety, proficiency, and adherence to Transport Canada/FAA regulations.Conduct both ground and in-flight training sessions for students at various experience levels.Create and execute customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and progress.Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.Ensure proper maintenance of aircraft by conducting pre- and post-flight inspections and reporting any issues.Maintain accurate and thorough student records, including flight logs and performance evaluations.Stay updated on industry best practices, aviation standards, and changes in regulations.Foster a professional and encouraging learning environment that promotes safety and confidence.Conduct check rides, practical exams, and assist students in preparing for certification or course completion.Coordinate with flight school staff to schedule lessons, aircraft, and other resources efficiently.QualificationsWe are looking for a candidate with the following experience and skills:3000+ hrs with an extensive operational background1000 hrs minimum mountain experienceType ratings on Bell 407,AS350 – H125, EC120Longline ProficientInstructional background, teach both in the classroom and the aircraft - an assetWorking in a team-oriented environmentSelf starter / takes initiativeWord/Excel/PDF/ PowerPoint – Proficient Can work night shifts (NVG training or on contract)English and Spanish speakingAdditional InformationSalaryRanging from $133,000 to $180,000.Working for Topflight is:A unique occasion to grow professionally in a dynamic environment full of opportunities.Working with passionate, committed people who enjoy surpassing themselves.Being part of an organizational culture based on fundamental principles.Having an employer of choice offering competitive working conditions.For more information we invite you to visit our website: https://www.topflightelite.ca/
