What You'll Do: * Manage Operations: Lead a team to ensure top-notch customer service and meet sales targets. You'll be accountable for the profit and loss statement at your site. * Identify Gaps: Spot areas for improvement in site performance to boost profitability and customer satisfaction. * Maximize Sales: Drive sales while protecting our reputation through effective performance management, coaching, and inspiring staff. * Recruit & Lead: Attract and select the best staff and lead a unionized workforce. You'll be responsible for training and developing your team. * Safety First: Ensure safe operations and compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards. You'll maintain operating standards and ensure adherence to safety protocols. * Customer Focus: Inspire staff to deliver superior customer experiences and get the basics right. You'll coach and support your team to improve operational excellence and customer perception. * HSSE: Develop a strong HSSE culture at your site, deliver agreed HSSE targets, and manage stakeholder relationships proactively. * Coach & Support: Help staff improve on-site operational excellence and customer perception through visible leadership and performance management. * Profitability: Meet profitability targets, volume targets, differentiated fuels volume targets, convenience retailing targets, and operating standards targets. You'll set site business plans with the Territory Manager and develop action plans to close performance gaps. * Collaborate: Work with the Territory Manager and colleagues across the business to support marketing and network initiatives. You'll ensure great and consistent execution of the 4 Ps (Product, Price, Placement, Promotion) at your site. Challenges: * Fast-paced role requiring self-motivation and strong interpersonal skills. You'll need to manage multiple priorities and deliver results through others. * Engage and influence site operations for excellence and performance. You'll have strong virtual interaction with the Territory Manager for execution and performance communication. * Flexibility and availability for emergencies outside of normal working hours. You'll need to take strong ownership and accountability of site performance and results. Requirements: * Legal authorization to work in Canada. * Valid Provincial Driver’s License and reliable vehicle. * Bachelor's degree preferred. * 5+ years in a similar role. * Strong leadership attributes (Authenticity, Collaboration, Performance, Growth) and adherence to core values (Honesty, Integrity, Respect). * Self-starter with a track record of delivering results. You'll need to demonstrate competence in implementing standard processes, achieving sales targets, building relationships, and delivering customer commitments. * Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). * High mobility and a valid driver's license with safe and defensive driving skills. * Retail experience is a plus, but outstanding candidates without it are welcome. You'll need to show evidence of a professional work style, including conflict handling and building strong, long-lasting relationships.
