Area Geologist

As the Area Geologist, you will be a key player in a dynamic and collaborative team of geoscientists and engineers, focused on optimizing and expanding production within a given area. You will use your proven experience of integrating geologic interpretations to develop current and future land bases, monitor competitor activity for new opportunities, and explore innovative technologies as they arise to unlock value for the company. The successful candidate will be flexible, adaptable and capable of working in a high pace environment where multitasking different priorities is essential. The Area Geologist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize production and expand land bases through geologic interpretation. They are responsible for planning horizontal well drilling programs and evaluating strategic acquisition and divestiture opportunities.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Geology and possess at least 5 years of petroleum geology experience. A P.Geo. designation with APEGA or eligibility to register is required, along with proficiency in industry-standard geological software.
