Building on classroom studies, you will develop and enhance your skills while working with mentors to kick-start a successful career in Accounting and Finance! * Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office * Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday) * Term lengths: 8 & 12 months * Term start: May 2027 * Safety sensitive position: No Key Accountabilities: * Assist with vendor banking set-up and maintenance for electronic payments and cash receipts * Support daily cash management activities, including deposits, payment processing, and maintaining accurate supporting documentation * Respond to inquiries related to payments, cash receipts and disbursements while ensuring accurate record keeping * Assist with Treasury reporting, bank reconciliations, foreign exchange rate updates, and transaction analysis * Participate in Treasury projects while gaining exposure to cash management, financial controls, and corporate finance accounting processes What You Bring to the Role: * Currently enrolled in your 2nd or 3rd year of a degree program in Accounting, Finance or Business, with a preference given to candidates intending to pursue an accounting designation (e.g. CPA) or other finance designation (e.g. CFA) * Attention to detail and analytical skills * Strong work ethic and effective time management and communication skills * Familiarity with: * Accounting concepts and principles * Financial markets * Research strategies and analytical thinking * Microsoft Office Suite What We Offer: * Competitive salary * Paid time off during Christmas week and summer Fridays in July and August * Multiple volunteer opportunities within the community * Students may be eligible for relocation assistance pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Student Relocation Policy (Students will be responsible for finding their own accommodations during the work term) * Opportunities to partake in initiatives such as the Intern Social Committee Check out our COMPENSATION & BENEFITS [https://www.cnrl.com/content/uploads/2024/03/Compensation-and-Benefits-Student.pdf] overview to learn more about we have to offer! Requirements
Candidates must be currently enrolled in their 2nd or 3rd year of a degree program in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with accounting principles and Microsoft Office are required.
