Responsibilities Reporting to the Underground Mine Supervisor, the mine labourer plays an essential role by assisting crews and contributing to the smooth and safe execution of mining operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Sharpen and grind drill bits and safely repair drilling hammers while maintaining a high standard of quality; * Inspect equipment before and after each shift; * Perform tasks in accordance with current safety standards (road safety and occupational health and safety); * Perform any other tasks as required by the supervisor. Qualifications * Hold a Level 5 high school diploma or equivalent; * Class 5 driver's license (territorial accepted); * Have the ability to lift loads up to 20 kg; * Hold an explosive permit (Condition of employment); * Training required to perform the work will be provided on site. Assets * Experience in a similar position; * Able to communicate orally and written in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English or French (trilingual will be considered an asset). Profile * Work with a diverse and multicultural team; * Responsible and punctual; * Pride in performing quality work; * Ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive working relationships. What you’ll do

The mine labourer assists crews in the smooth and safe execution of underground mining operations. Key tasks include sharpening drill bits, repairing drilling hammers, and performing equipment inspections.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Level 5 high school diploma, a Class 5 driver's license, and an explosive permit. The ability to lift up to 20 kg and work in a multicultural team is required.
