Underground Field Service Mechanic Permanent Position – Unionized Position to fill 2 Code MM26-22 The hourly rate ranges from 47,01 to 53,96$ Deadline to apply September 28th, 2026 The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Underground Service Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment in underground mining operations. Responsibilities include: * Respond to service calls from operations. * Diagnose issues on the construction site. * Perform repairs on the construction site. * Determine the cause and nature of failures to specify the methods and means of repairs to be done. * Assist colleagues on the site with various tasks as needed; * Drive and maintain service vehicles. * Adhere to the company's health and safety requirements and recommendations. * Perform other related tasks related to the position. Qualifications * Possess a professional diploma (DEP) in construction equipment mechanics or an equivalent qualification; * Have experience on a mechanical service vehicle. * Have a background in heavy machinery maintenance. * Showcase proficient diagnostic abilities. * Hold a valid driver's license for class 5 vehicles. * Completion of FMTM mining modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7; * Hold a valid explosives permit.
