Competition # 297-26-713505516 Posting End Date: September 18, 2026 City: Winnipeg Work Location: MacCharles Department: Outpatient Clinic Services Program Union: CUPE FS Hiring Status: Temporry Reason for Term: Maternity/Parental Anticipated Start - End Dates: ASAP - April 1, 2027 (may expire with two weeks' notice) FTE: 1.00 Anticipated Shift: Days Daily Hours Worked: 7.75 Annual Base Hours: 2015 Hourly Salary: $22.475, $23.136, $23.816, $24.515, $25.238, $25.982 Job Summary: Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Unit Clerk performs a variety of clerical tasks, supportive functions for patient and staff, and the Department. The incumbent ensures the care and comfort of patients as well as routine cleanliness of the clinical environment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and training are provided. Qualifications: Required: Successful completion of a recognized Health Unit Clerk course Basic Computer skills Ability to perform physically demanding tasks e.g. pushing carts with patient charts Satisfactory employment record Must be able to legally work in Canada Will be assessed during the interview process: Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills Excellent English comprehension with both written and verbal communication skills Ability to adapt to stressful situations Preferred: Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic and or in-patient care setting Asset: Ability to speak French Interested and qualified applicants are invited to submit a detailed and current resume, plus a cover letter demonstrating how you meet the above qualifications and the above competition number.
