The Wash Technician is responsible for safe wash/dry operations and inspection of poly hopper cars. The Wash Technician will take day to day work instruction from the Supervisor and work in conjunction with the on site switching provider to complete switching activities. Roles & Responsibilities * Knowing and understanding applicable procedures, operating procedures, basic maintenance and escalation requirements. * Execute daily rounds of the wash equipment and wash bay. * Clean out, remove excess product in designated area. As well as general housekeeping. * Promptly report all safety concerns, and equipment issues * Complete daily reports, daily logs, and other reports deemed necessary * Participate in training or company initiatives as required * Exert “best effort” to protect human life, human safety and company property * Actively participate with the team and provide excellent customer service while promoting a superior company image Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities * Excellent teamwork skills * Physically fit including the ability to pull self-up and down from a railcar on a continuous basis. * Knowledge of technology and computer systems * Ability to obtain certification and medical clearances to perform the role * Be able and willing to work day and night shifts, 365 days a year Education & Experience * Rail car wash and drying system and associated equipment and Rail car Vacuum System (operation) considered an asset * Experience in the maintenance and housekeeping of rail cars Note: This description is not intended to limit the assignment of work or be construed as a complete list of the many duties to be performed by the incumbent. Responsible for the safe wash, dry, and inspection operations of poly hopper rail cars. Duties include executing daily equipment rounds, maintaining the wash bay, and completing necessary daily logs and reports.

Candidates must be physically fit and willing to work day and night shifts 365 days a year. Experience with rail car wash systems and vacuum systems is considered an asset.
