Our Electricians are responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, installation and modification of all power plant-related equipment, applying their skills to maximize uptime, quality and production. As a Certified Electrician, your responsibilities will include: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control panels within the mill. Diagnose and repair electrical issues in machinery, sensors, transmitters, and other equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations. Program, troubleshoot, and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems to enhance efficiency and precision in the mill processes. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical systems. Identify and address electrical safety hazards within the power plant environment to maintain a safe working atmosphere. Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns to minimize downtime. Prioritize and address critical electrical issues to ensure the continuous operation of power plant equipment. Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to coordinate electrical repairs and maintenance activities. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to convey information about electrical systems and potential improvements. For this role, we are looking for candidates who have: Certified Journeyman or Red Seal A strong background in PLC’s and troubleshooting Strong commitment to safety You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with others to perform all aspects of maintenance activities.
