We are seeking a Key Holder who will play an important role in supporting daily store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient retail environment. Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities In support of the strategic pillars and in partnership with the Retail Store Manager and Team Lead, the responsibilities of a Key Holder (Designate) at Cannabis NB may include, but are not limited to: Support and guide team members on store processes and service standards to deliver exceptional customer service Drive a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results Act as Leader on Duty (LOD) and support daily store operations in the absence of Store Manager or Team Lead Ensure adherence to loss prevention policies to support achieving store shrink goals Report, document, and address near misses, customer injuries, or workplace incidents in a timely manner Ensure compliance with corporate policies and provincial or federal laws Support and uphold in-store responsibility processes and practices Operational Responsibilities Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, safe counts, and security protocols Verify and complete daily financial documentation (cash logs, deposit logs, MPOS reconciliation) Monitor and investigate cash or inventory variances and escalate as required Execute daily inventory tasks including cycle counts, variance checks, and product handling (including returns and quarantined items) Support inventory accuracy through daily counts, adjustments, and documentation Maintain store presentation standards, including merchandising, cleanliness, and organization Complete daily cleaning routines across sales floor, office, and back room Leadership & In-Store Support Provide direction and support to team members during shifts, including shift transitions and daily briefings (PASE updates) Support store engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture Participate in store safety practices, including maintaining First Aid certification and completing required safety training. Weekly & Ongoing Responsibilities Support store audits and operational checks in the absence of Store Manager or Team Lead Assist with receiving inventory, including purchase orders (POs) and transfer orders (TOs) Support preparation and execution of RSL (Retail Supply Logistics) processes Maintain store planogram (plano) and brand standards Contribute to ongoing operational improvements and efficiencies About You You are a reliable and proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing operational tasks such as cash handling and inventory.
