Job summary

Position: IT Event Support Reports to: Manager, IT Infrastructure SUMMARY: The IT Event Support will troubleshoot company supported software and hardware problems and for receiving requests for technology services during all events (i.e. hockey games, concerts, etc.). The incumbent will be responsible for providing first level assistance and for assigning/dispatching technical support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (other duties may be assigned as required) * Provide first level support on computer hardware and software issues * Ensure timely recording, tracking, escalation and resolution of end-user technical problems and requirements received via telephone, e-mail, or in person * Record all calls in the Ticketing System as per escalation procedures and priority settings and assign to appropriate Technology Team member * Update documentation and schematics as required * Assist in documenting and communicating user/technical service policies for products supported by the Help Desk * Availability to work outside normal business hours i.e. evenings and weekends REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES: * Working towards a degree or diploma in a technical related area * Strong technical aptitude * Basic understanding of Windows & Mac laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, printers and assorted peripherals * Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment * A willingness to learn * Highly organized, and detailed with an ability to multi-task * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * Superior interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively and in a professional manner with end users at all levels within the organization * Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills * Familiarity with networking would be an asset * Onsite role at Rogers Arena Vancouver is one of the most diverse cities in the world and Canucks Sports & Entertainment strives to create a workforce that is inclusive, equitable, and represents our beautiful, unique community.
