Help strengthen network and data security across complex financial services environments, protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive information from evolving threats. The Role As a Senior Network Security Consultant, you will work with clients and delivery teams to strengthen the security, resilience, and protection of enterprise network and data environments across complex financial services organizations. You will bring together expertise across network security, infrastructure, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), helping clients protect sensitive information while maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing connectivity. You will support the design, implementation, configuration, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement of security controls across networks, endpoints, email, cloud, web, and other relevant technology environments. Working across cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, architecture, identity and access management, risk, compliance, privacy, and business teams, you will investigate security events and incidents, identify vulnerabilities and data protection risks, and translate security requirements into practical controls. As a senior consultant, you will provide technical insight, support complex security initiatives, and help clients improve network resilience and data protection while balancing security requirements with operational and business needs. What You’ll Do Assess, monitor, and analyze network and data security environments, investigating security events, DLP alerts, connectivity issues, potential data leakage, policy violations, and emerging risks. Design, configure, implement, and enhance network security and DLP controls across firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, endpoints, email, cloud, web, and other relevant channels. Lead and support security implementations, upgrades, migrations, and control enhancements, including technical analysis, testing, documentation, deployment, and post-implementation validation. Investigate complex network and data security incidents, performing root-cause analysis, gathering evidence, documenting findings, and coordinating remediation with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, risk, compliance, privacy, and business teams. Advise clients and delivery teams on opportunities to strengthen network resilience, data protection, security controls, and operational processes while translating technical risks and requirements into clear, practical recommendations. What We’re Looking For 8+ years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, information security, or related technology environments, including responsibility for enterprise network infrastructure and security controls. Practical knowledge of networking and security concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, network segmentation, secure remote access, and network monitoring. Understanding of DLP and data protection concepts, including sensitive data identification, policy management, alert investigation, incident handling, information protection, and data security controls. Experience investigating network and security events, identifying root causes and potential risks, and supporting remediation within complex enterprise technology environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to explain security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. Bonus Points For Experience with enterprise network security technologies from Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Juniper, or comparable platforms, alongside enterprise DLP technologies. Exposure to cloud and hybrid network security across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or comparable environments. Knowledge of Zero Trust, Identity and Access Management (IAM), CIAM, privileged access, data classification, information protection, privacy, or related cybersecurity capabilities. Relevant networking, cybersecurity, or cloud certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or comparable industry qualifications. Experience delivering network security, DLP, incident response, security operations, or control enhancement initiatives within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
