Key Responsibilities Perform structural, non-structural, and cosmetic repairs, including sheet metal straightening, panel replacements, weld on replacements, bonding, riveting, and trim/glass work. Utilize OEM repair procedures, repair plans, and technical bulletins to restore vehicles to factory specifications and pre-accident condition. Work closely with estimators on repair variances and supplement identification, coordinate with parts staff to verify components, and prepare vehicles seamlessly for the paint department. Conduct self-directed quality checks throughout the repair process, maintaining a strict "fix it right the first time" standard to ensure final inspection readiness. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to all shop safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling rules. Active participation in paid OEM brand certifications and modern technical upskilling. Qualifications Red Seal Journeyman Auto Body Technician Certification (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in a high volume collision repair facility or OEM certified body shop. Deep knowledge of collision repair methods, OEM guidelines, advanced structural repair techniques, and expertise with modern repair tools, welders, and measuring benches. Strong ability to interpret complex repair plans/blueprints, combined with exceptional time management and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license.
