Java/PLSql Lead

Location: (Fully Remote) Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 10+ Years Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in Canada. 8+ years of experience in Java application development. 8+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development experience. Strong expertise in developing, debugging, and optimizing complex Oracle Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions, Triggers, and Views. Extensive experience writing high-performance SQL queries and tuning PL/SQL code for large-scale enterprise applications. Proven experience analyzing execution plans, query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning. Strong knowledge of transaction management, exception handling, cursors, collections, Bulk Collect, FORALL, and dynamic SQL. Hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and REST APIs. Experience working with Oracle 12c/19c databases in production environments. Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring developers. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers for mission-critical applications. Optimize existing stored procedures to improve performance and scalability. Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning using execution plans, indexing, and query optimization techniques. Collaborate with Java developers to integrate PL/SQL components with enterprise Java applications. Troubleshoot production database issues and perform root cause analysis. Conduct code reviews focusing on Java and PL/SQL best practices. Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance on database architecture and performance optimization.
