About the Role This is a dual-mandate role at the heart of CarDoor's operations, combining the consultative sales skills of an acquisition specialist with the analytical precision of a professional vehicle appraiser. You will assess vehicles accurately, present market-backed offers to consumers, negotiate to a committed sale, and ensure the downstream dealer transaction is fully supported. You are both a trusted advisor to the customer and a data-driven evaluator. You are equally comfortable navigating pricing conversations with consumers who may have differing expectations as you are interpreting auction trends and market data. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role suited for automotive professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Assessment and Pricing Review inbound leads and assess each vehicle: condition, mileage, trim, accident history, and current market demand Apply wholesale market data and auction trends to determine a defensible, competitive offer price Produce accurate condition assessments that support your offer and protect the downstream dealer transaction Consumer Outreach and Closing Review customer deal details and present a fair, market-backed price with clarity and confidence Explain the MarketCheck™ process in straightforward, consumer-friendly language Guide customers through the pricing and commitment process, managing objections professionally Develop a tailored deal approach for each transaction based on qualification notes and vehicle assessment Maintain a relationship of trust and confidence throughout the full customer experience Manage a high volume of daily customer interactions while maintaining quality and composure Deal Support Coordinate with the dealer team to ensure customer commitments align with and support downstream dealer transactions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory flow, appraisal accuracy, and wholesale processes Maintain strong relationships with dealer buyers to facilitate smooth transaction processes Required Skills and Qualifications 2+ years of experience in automotive appraisal, wholesale buying, auction management, or consultative automotive sales Practical knowledge of vehicle makes, models, trims, and the condition factors that affect value Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, auction results, and pricing trends Proven track record of closing, not just presenting Familiarity with appraisal or CRM tools (OpenLane, Accutrade, vAuto, or similar) is an asset Strong organizational and time management skills to handle high-volume daily workflow OMVIC Certification is a requirement Why Join CarDoor Competitive base ($80,000 - $100,000) with an incentive plan tied to monthly performance goals and potential for company share awards A clearly defined, high-impact role where your performance drives real business outcomes Work at the intersection of market data, technology, and consumer sales in a fast-moving Canadian automotive company Join a team that values expertise, moves quickly, and is building something genuinely new in Canadian automotive
