The Peer Assistant supports the Upward Bound mission by motivating high school students and assisting with their academic success and college preparation. Key duties include supervising students on field trips, conducting tutorial sessions, and helping with college application essays and resumes.

Peer tutors provide individualized content and skill-development tutoring to help students become successful and independent learners. They are responsible for maintaining tutoring schedules, recording session data, and referring students to appropriate college resources.
