Job Location: High River, ABJob Type: Full TimeShifts Available: : Rotating 12 hour shift (four (4) days on, five (5) days off, five (5) days on, four (4) days off)Compensation: $41.00/hr Benefits Information Benefits are based in our Collective Bargaining Agreement Paid Vacation Extended Health & Dental Vision Care Pension Plan Short-term Disability and Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Tuition Reimbursement Principal Accountabilities Monitor boiler operation (pressure, temperature), including chemistry on water, safety checks and coordination of maintenance activities including lockout tagout and preventative maintenance completion with minimal guidance Record and document maintenance and other boiler related activities Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical problems and provide follow-up as required Perform daily, weekly and monthly boiler operation checklist with occasional guidance Complete regular preventative boiler maintenance checks with little to no guidance Maintain building, roof, floor and report substandard conditions Perform emergency duties if required and understand various uses of fire-fighting equipment Operate ammonia refrigeration syste Other duties as assigned by Chief Engineer Required Qualifications Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada Must be 18 years or older 3rd class power engineering certificate Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud, noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice Basic computer skills Knowledge of ABSA standards and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience working with boilers and steam Experience operating large scale industrial firetube boiler Experience in food manufacturing environment Experience in operating ammonia refrigeration system Please note that this position does not include relocation reimbursement.
