Preferred Qualifications: * Previous volunteer experience in community or nonprofit settings. * Additional language skills relevant to the local community. * Familiarity with basic computer applications such as email and word processing. * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. * Ability to adapt to various tasks and work independently when required. Responsibilities: * Assist with the planning, setup, coordination, and cleanup of community events, programs, and activities. * Support staff and fellow volunteers with day-to-day program and operational tasks. * Welcome and engage with community members by providing information, guidance, and assistance as needed. * Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, organizing materials, and preparing program resources. * Participate in orientation, training sessions, and team meetings to remain informed about organizational initiatives and goals. * Support community outreach and health promotion activities, such as education sessions, wellness initiatives, and food programs. * Assist with youth, family, and peer support programs in a respectful and inclusive manner. * Contribute to community-based initiatives that promote health equity, inclusion, and social justice. Why Volunteer with Us: * Gain hands-on experience in a non-profit community health setting. * Learn from dedicated professionals in social services, mental health, and community development. * Develop meaningful relationships and contribute to positive social change. * Flexible hours and a welcoming, inclusive environment. Skills: The required skills such as effective communication and teamwork are essential for interacting with community members and collaborating with staff and volunteers daily. Organizational skills help manage event logistics and administrative tasks efficiently. Preferred skills like additional language abilities and computer literacy enhance your capacity to serve a broader community and support digital record-keeping.
