About the Role: As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to clients across diverse healthcare settings. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care tailored to individual client needs, ensuring optimal health outcomes. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, advocate for clients' rights, and educate patients and their families on health management. This role demands a commitment to maintaining client safety, managing complex clinical situations such as wound care and telemetry monitoring, and supporting both pediatric and adult populations. Minimum Qualifications: Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Completion of an accredited nursing education program (Diploma, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or equivalent). Demonstrated experience in direct patient care within a clinical setting. Preferred Qualifications: Experience or certification in wound care management. Pediatric nursing experience or specialized training. Experience with client education programs and advocacy initiatives. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology. Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient conditions. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines. Perform wound care management and telemetry monitoring to ensure patient safety and recovery. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies. Advocate for patients’ rights and needs within the healthcare system to ensure ethical and effective care. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Deliver nursing care in medical, surgical, and pediatric settings, adapting to the specific requirements of each. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices to uphold quality standards. Skills: The required skills such as direct patient care, wound care, and telemetry are essential for daily clinical assessments and interventions, ensuring patient safety and effective treatment. Patient education and advocacy skills enable you to communicate complex health information clearly and support patients in making informed decisions about their care. Medical and surgical nursing expertise allows you to manage a wide range of health conditions and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans efficiently. Pediatric nursing skills are valuable for providing age-appropriate care and addressing the unique needs of younger patients. Additionally, proficiency as a nurse practitioner or in advanced nursing roles enhances your ability to perform comprehensive assessments and contribute to clinical decision-making.
