Responsibilities: * Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical malfunctions and equipment using various test instruments; maintain and repair mechanical systems; test mechanical equipment for safety and efficiency; fabricate mechanical parts; participates in the maintenance and operation of mechanical tools and equipment used by the operation * Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical systems including motors, controls, scales, and other equipment Test & monitor mechanical systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem * Ensures the proper function of mechanical safety devices * Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems * Monitors’ work done for adherence to legislated requirements * Assists in the writing of specifications for repairs and new construction * Maintains appropriate service and repair records * Analyze and respond safely and appropriately to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service * Follows blueprints to determine the location of equipment and to conform to the building and safety codes * Any other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: * High School Graduate or GED equivalency * Department of Labour certificate for a Licensed Industrial Mechanical Millwright * Minimum 4 years or 8000 hours of on-the-job millwright maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment * Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems; strong leadership and Total Productive Maintenance experience; Six Sigma training is a plus * Prior experience demonstrating effective leadership skills * Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic * Fluency in spoken and written English Benefits & Compensation: * Overtime hours are double time * Paid holidays and vacation time * Comprehensive benefits plan inclusive of Health, Dental and Vision coverage * Defined Contribution Pension with company matching contribution * Optional RRSP contribution available if desired * Options to purchase additional life insurance (employee, spouse, and child) * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Tuition benefits including professional certifications * Well rounded company wellness plan with incentives READY TO JOIN A ROCK-SOLID FAMILY?
