Responsibilities: * Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical malfunctions and equipment using various test instruments; maintain and repair mechanical systems; test mechanical equipment for safety and efficiency; fabricate mechanical parts; participates in the maintenance and operation of mechanical tools and equipment used by the operation * Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical systems including motors, controls, scales, and other equipment Test & monitor mechanical systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem * Ensures the proper function of mechanical safety devices * Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems * Monitors’ work done for adherence to legislated requirements * Assists in the writing of specifications for repairs and new construction * Maintains appropriate service and repair records * Analyze and respond safely and appropriately to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service * Follows blueprints to determine the location of equipment and to conform to the building and safety codes * Any other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: * High School Graduate or GED equivalency * Department of Labour certificate for a Licensed Industrial Mechanical Millwright * Minimum 4 years or 8000 hours of on-the-job millwright maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment * Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems; strong leadership and Total Productive Maintenance experience; Six Sigma training is a plus * Prior experience demonstrating effective leadership skills * Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic * Fluency in spoken and written English Benefits & Compensation: * Overtime hours are double time * Paid holidays and vacation time * Comprehensive benefits plan inclusive of Health, Dental and Vision coverage * Defined Contribution Pension with company matching contribution * Optional RRSP contribution available if desired * Options to purchase additional life insurance (employee, spouse, and child) * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Tuition benefits including professional certifications * Well rounded company wellness plan with incentives READY TO JOIN A ROCK-SOLID FAMILY? The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency. They will also maintain service records, fabricate parts, and adhere to building and safety codes while performing routine and emergency repairs.

Candidates must hold a Department of Labour certificate for a Licensed Industrial Mechanical Millwright and possess at least 4 years of industrial manufacturing experience. Strong leadership skills, teamwork, and proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems are required.
