About The Position Reporting to the Director of Financial Systems & Business Intelligence (FSBI), the AI & Data Analyst will focus on building AI-powered tools to enhance our existing platform and solve financial and operational issues. What We Offer Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits, including extended health & dental, life and disability insurance, and more Flexible spending account for additional health and wellness coverage Company matched RRSP program Paid training and development programs Duties and Responsibilities: Design and build internal AI tools and agents) on top of Microsoft Fabric and company data, using LLM APIs and/or platforms like Copilot Studio or Azure AI Foundry Write and refine prompts and system instructions for LLM-based tools, and structure inputs/outputs (including retrieval-augmented generation patterns) Integrate AI tools with existing systems and data sources (Fabric, Business Central, Power BI) via APIs, connectors, or scheduled data flows Build lightweight automations and scripts (e.g., Python, Power Automate) that connect AI tools to real workflows Test AI tool outputs for accuracy and reliability before rollout; put in place simple checks or review steps so stakeholders can trust what the tool produces Monitor ongoing performance and usage of deployed AI tools (e.g., LLM API cost, latency, error rates, user adoption) and flag issues or improvement opportunities Identify and scope new AI use cases in partnership with the FSBI Director and business stakeholders, Maintain and make incremental improvements to existing Power BI dashboards and reports, including DAX calculations and Power Query (M) transformations Handle ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from finance and operations stakeholders Flag data-quality or structural issues that would affect AI tool reliability Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field 2-4 years of experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or related analytics/technical role Hands-on experience building with AI/LLM tools — e.g., OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or similar — including prompt design and connecting a model to real data or workflows Comfort writing basic scripts or automations (e.g., Python, Power Automate) to connect tools and data Solid SQL skills; exposure to Microsoft Fabric is an asset — Power BI experience with a willingness to ramp up on Fabric is welcome Working Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling Microsoft Excel skills, including PowerPivot and formulas Good problem-solving skills and the ability to explain data and AI concepts in practical terms To apply, please submit visit us at https://www.carringtongroup.ca/about-us/careers. Requires a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field with 2-4 years of experience in a technical analytics role. Must have hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools, SQL, and the Microsoft Power Platform suite.
