Technical Lead

Technical Lead (Angular & Java) Long term contract Hybrid in downtown Toronto (Only 5 days per month!) We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong Angular and Java expertise to join a high-performing enterprise technology team supporting an internally developed AML investigation platform. The successful consultant will take ownership of ongoing feature development, enhancement projects, Angular upgrades, and release delivery while providing leadership and guidance to junior developers. You will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, QA teams and technical stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of a business-critical application used by hundreds of internal users. Key Responsibilities Deliver features and enhancements across Angular and Java applications Lead Angular upgrade initiatives Support future Java modernization project Organise and coordinate release activities Work closely with Project Managers to meet delivery milestones Assign and review work completed by junior developers Troubleshoot production issues where required Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate technical solutions Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools as part of the development lifecycle Required Skills Angular Java Full stack development experience Experience maintaining and enhancing enterprise applications Strong communication skills GitHub Copilot experience Leadership or Tech Lead experience Desirable Skills Banking or financial services experience Application architecture exposur End-to-end application delivery experience AI and rapid prototyping experienc Frontend-heavy development background

The Technical Lead will deliver features and enhancements across Angular and Java applications while leading Angular upgrade initiatives. They will also support future Java modernization projects and coordinate release activities.

Candidates should have strong Angular and Java expertise along with full stack development experience. Leadership experience and strong communication skills are also required.
