Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for a Contractual part-time (37.5 hours/week), Program Assistant position for reception and administrative support in our Edmonton region. Providing excellent client-centered care, you are confident, thoughtful, and motivated to achieve success when supporting others in your community! This position is a contract until March 31, 2027. Job Summary: Provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of programs within the Immigration and Settlement Service (ISS). Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors, answering calls, directing inquiries, and providing customer service support. Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining records, filing, scanning, uploading documents, database entry, and assisting with report preparation. Liaise with community stakeholders, coordinate communications, make internal or external referrals where applicable, and support program promotional activities. What This Job Requires: Diploma in Office Administration (or equivalent) Demonstrated proficiency with technology and various programs, including Microsoft Office suite, Videoconferencing Software Platforms (i.e., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.), and databases 2 years of experience in administrative office work Experience in working with extensive data Experience with stakeholder engagement and relationship-building Experience working with newcomers to Canada is an asset Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and strong interpersonal skills Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity towards those with diverse needs Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Strong public speaking, facilitation, and research skills Attention to detail and accuracy with strong problem-solving skills Confidence in taking initiative, multitasking, establishing priorities, and working independently with limited supervision Strong team player The ability to speak a second language is an asset What We Offer: The Annual salary for this position (based on 37.5 hours/week) is $46,314.45 to $52,147.8 and is based on qualifications and experience We offer flexibility and supportive working environment.
