Job Description Cavendish Farms Potato Storage in Pooles Corner, PE is looking for Laborers from end of September until mid or end of October. The exact start date and period of work will be dependent on weather and business needs. Work location – Pooles Corner, PE Wage - $20.26 per hour + OT after 44 hrs & Sundays Work Schedule: Working for a farming operation, workers must be available to work up to 12 hours a day, including some weekends. Please apply: Online In-person at 4504 Allies Mills Rd, Pooles Corner, PE Responsibilities Grade potatoes to identify and remove defects, foreign material, and product that does not meet quality standards. Perform general labour duties within the potato storage facility, including housekeeping and equipment clean-up. Transport dirt and debris using wheelbarrows from conveyor systems to designated dump stations. Remove accumulated dirt and debris using shovels and other hand tools. Assist with the movement, assembly, and maintenance of culverts and related storage equipment. Support storage operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Follow all safety procedures, policies, and operational guidelines. All other duties as assigned Qualifications Safety and Quality focused Must be physically capable of performing demanding manual labour, including pushing loaded wheelbarrows, shovelling dirt and debris, lifting and carrying materials, assisting with culvert assembly and movement, and standing for extended periods of time. High level of attention to detail Ability to work in close proximity to moving harvest equipment Farm experience is an asset Previous experience in heavy equipment operation is an asset Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions About Us Founded in 1882, J.D.
