Job summary
Overview The Finishing Plant is responsible for purging, blending and packaging of polymer products, which are produced in the Compounding and Polymers Departments. The Rail Worker is responsible for managing the Industrial Railyard and Finishing Warehouses. Duties include: receiving of packaging materials, staging of Hopper Cars, loading of Tractor Trailers and Shipment of outbound Hopper Cars. Material Mover will be required to operate Rail Car Mover and Forklift Truck. The duties can be physically demanding and may include occasional heavy lifting, standing, and walking for long periods of time throughout the shift and working in extreme temperatures. Responsibilities This role will incorporate the following responsibilities; Leadership Maintain a cohesive working relationship with the crew and Team Captain. Demonstrate a commitment to the site vision and values. Stewardship Participate in stewardship events as directed by Department Supervision (SIP, SQRE Meetings, training etc.). Perpetuates a culture of safety, quality, and reliability with all colleagues, contractors and guests in the unit. Commitment to 5S implementation in assigned work areas. Qualifications High School Diploma or recognized equivalent. Valid Motor Vehicle Operating licence. Forklift Truck experience is preferred. Maintaining high standard of safety consciousness, being an advocate for the safety of self and others. Maintaining a high level of housekeeping standards. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and WinLims.
