Angular Front-End Developer (Contract position) Number of openings: 1, Contract (5 Months to start Location: Oakville, ON (Hybrid — Mostly remote, with occasional in-office visits as needed) Must be eligible to work in Canada Roles and responsibilities: We are seeking a talented and experienced Angular Front-End Developer for a 5-month contract. In this role, you will serve as the primary developer for our Angular (v14+) applications, designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable Single Page Applications (SPAs). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers and UI/UX designers, to deliver high-quality, pixel-perfect user experiences. Key Responsibilities Front-End Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable SPAs, serving as the primary developer for our Angular (v14+) applications. State Management & Data Flow: Implement efficient state management and reactive programming patterns using RxJS, NgRx, or similar libraries. API Integration: Collaborate closely with back-end engineers to seamlessly integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and microservices. UI/UX Implementation: Translate Figma/Sketch design wireframes into high-quality, reusable, and pixel-perfect code using HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and Angular components. Performance Optimization: Ensure maximum application speed, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility (WCAG standards). Code Review & Collaboration: Actively participate in peer code reviews, champion clean-code best practices (SOLID principles), and support team growth. Must have skills/experience/Qualifications: Work Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. (We are unable to offer sponsorship for this contract position). Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development. Angular Expertise: At least 5+ years of deep, hands-on experience building complex, enterprise-grade applications specifically with the Angular framework (v14+ preferred). Core Tech Stack: Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. Reactive Programming: Deep understanding of RxJS (Observables, Operators, Subjects) and state management architecture (e.g., NgRx). Styling & UI: Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS) and UI component libraries (e.g., Angular Material, Bootstrap, or Tailwind). Tooling & Version Control: Proficiency with Git, Node.js/npm, Webpack, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves) React Experience: Hands-on experience or familiarity with React, React Hooks, and Redux is highly desired for cross-platform versatility and integration projects. Backend (.NET) Familiarity: Previous experience or familiarity with backend development using C# and the .NET framework (.NET Core / .NET 8) to help bridge the gap between front-end and back-end teams. API Understanding: Experience consuming and debugging ASP.NET Web APIs. Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud deployment environments like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
