Personne qui, à partir des programmes généraux établis, élabore des programmes spécifiques d'éducation et de prévention en matière d'hygiène dentaire. Elle collabore aux différents programmes de dépistage. Elle peut assister le ou la dentiste dans l'exercice de ses fonctions. Elle applique et enseigne en matière de prévention et de soins dentaires, les techniques d'hygiène dentaire. Elle voit à l'application topique des agents anticariogènes. Elle procède au nettoyage, au détartrage et au polissage des dents, effectue l'examen oral préliminaire et l'anamnèse. Elle place, sculpte et finit les restaurations et prend les impressions pour modèles d'étude. Elle tient l'inventaire et fait les commandes de fournitures dentaires. Doit détenir un diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) en techniques d’hygiène dentaire d'une école reconnue par le ministère compétent. Doit être membre de l'Ordre professionnel des hygiénistes dentaires du Québec. ******* Person who, based on established general programs, develops specific dental hygiene education and prevention programs. Must hold a college diploma (DEC) in dental hygiene techniques from a school recognized by the competent ministry. Must be a member of the Professional order of dental hygienists of Quebec.

Requirements
