Job details

We’re new, and we’re building something we believe in. The Centre of Attuned Sport is a new organization, and we’re about to launch Athletes Corner, our one-to-one therapy service for young athletes. We’re looking for four exceptional clinicians to launch it with us: people who are experts in working with young people and who truly understand sport. We’ll be honest: this isn’t a large, established practice with years of systems behind it. It’s a chance to help shape a new kind of practice from the beginning, alongside a founder who has spent 20 years as a Registered Social Worker with children, youth and families. Why we’re doing this Emotions belong in sport. But who is teaching young athletes the skills to handle them? Most athletes who come to us aren’t in crisis. They’re dealing with pressure, confidence, perfectionism, injury, identity and the weight of competing. They deserve clinicians who understand what their sport asks of them. What you’ll do Provide one-to-one therapy to young athletes, roughly ages 8 to 24, and support their families, in person and virtually Deliver our two pathways: Focused Six (six sessions on one goal) and ongoing therapy Help build Athletes Corner’s clinical approach, intake process and resources Contribute to our coach training and Bounce Back school programs as the Centre grows Who we’re looking for Registered in good standing with the OCSWSSW (RSW) or CRPO (RP) Deep experience with children, teens or young adults Real understanding of sport, through competing, coaching or years of working with athletes Grounded in anxiety, emotional regulation and trauma-informed practice Excited by the idea of building something new, not just joining something already built What we offer Per-session rate, competitive with GTA private practice A specialized focus in youth sport, not general practice with a sport label on it Referrals from our coach training and school programs as they grow Clinical supervision and a team that thinks the same way A real voice in how Athletes Corner is built How to apply Please apply through our website or LinkedIn: centreofattunedsport.com/careers It’s a short three-step application about your practice and your relationship to sport. Every application is read personally, and we reply within two business days. We welcome applicants from the many communities across the GTA that we serve. Accommodations are available at any stage. Just let us know.
