Summary: The Field Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Certarus equipment at our CNG filing stations and customer sites. This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager. The position plays a key role in supporting CNG delivery operations while providing overall technical assistance to the company and our customers. Schedule: * This position requires out of town stay from time to time * The ideal candidate will be flexible in terms of scheduled hours worked and availability * 4-week rotating schedule. Mon-Thurs / Tues-Fri / Mon-Fri / Mon-Weds N/S, on-call the rest of the week * Night shift and on call are required to support operations Perks: * 7% RRSP matching program * Excellent health, dental and insurance benefits * Wellness days and paid time off Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist with the overall plant and fleet operations in the region, while contributing to a safe working environment * Help mechanical and technical services on process equipment and gas compression at Certarus hubs and customer sites * Set up and breakdown of pressure reduction equipment to/from customer locations * Ensure that internal policies and government safety and regulatory standards are met * Other duties as designated * Complete trailer schedule maintenance and 120-day schedule inspections Requirements: * Hold a current instrumentation technologist/technician qualification * G2 Gas Technician preferred. Although Candidates with an Operating Engineer, Industrial Electrician or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Certificate will also be considered * Troubleshooting experience with regulators, valves, instrumentation and electrical, and compression is an asset or experience in gas processing equipment including production, field gas or gas compression * Positive attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills * Willingness to complete IMT training provided by the company Certarus embraces diversity and equal opportunity in the way it impacts our continuous business success. Requires 3-5 years of experience with natural gas compressors and a G2 Gas Technician certification or equivalent trade certificate. Must possess strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to undergo IMT training.
