Join CGI as a Mainframe Production Support Analyst within our Banking Services Division. In this role, you will support and maintain mission-critical production environments, ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of enterprise applications running across mainframe and distributed platforms. This role requires working from the CGI Downtown Toronto office and/or the client office, a minimum of 2 days per week, subject to change. Your future duties and responsibilities Provide production support for enterprise applications running in mainframe and distributed environments. Monitor application availability, performance, and system health, responding promptly to incidents and service requests. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across mainframe, Linux, and network environments. Support Red Hat OpenShift containerized applications and platform operations. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring incidents. Develop and maintain Shell scripts to automate operational tasks and improve efficiency. Utilize application performance monitoring tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, networking, and business support teams to ensure service reliability. Manage incidents, problems, and change requests using ServiceNow while documenting technical solutions in Confluence and tracking work through Jira. Participate in production deployments, maintenance activities, and on-call support as required. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role 5+ years of IBM Mainframe knowledge Linux advance System Administration. SQL-MI DB Experience Basic network skills (iptables, firewall-cmd, network troubleshooting) Cloud (Microsoft Azure Services) skills Red Hat OpenShift Container Skills (Docker & container life cycle, Cluster management, OpenShift CLI, Command-line operations, Container Networking: Understanding SDN, ingress controllers) Application Performance Monitoring APM (Understanding of application metrics, Database performance monitoring & Web service health checks) SFTP and FTP protocols shell Scripting (Bash, PowerShell for automation, ability to write a shell script) Experience in using AI Problem-Solving (Analytical thinking, troubleshooting methodology skills) Test and script automation skills Extra or added value experience: experience on using Jira/Confluence familiar and able to use ServiceNow (Change, Incident and Problem management) good knowledge on Dynatrace monitoring tool (Alert Configuration & Log Analysis) Other languages (Nice to have: Spanish, French, Italian, Mandarin) Required soft skills: Good Communication Skills (Status reporting, technical writing) working under pressure Time and priority management On call 24/7 Prod support experience + availability to work weekend shifts CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
