Job summary
Position Description CGI is seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Analyst to join our team and help drive the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions through modern test automation. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and execution of scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and backend applications while partnering closely with software development, DevOps, and product teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You will play a key role in embedding quality engineering practices into CI/CD pipelines, improving automation maturity, and mentoring team members on modern testing strategies. Your future duties and responsibilities Responsible for all phases of testing for assigned projects or releases including Smoke/build verification testing, Sprint testing, Integration testing, End to End testing and supporting business testing, deployment order testing and PAT phase Review system requirements, design documents, technical user stories Create, execute and document detailed, accurate test cases. Create and Maintain automation test scripts (API, Services and E2E). Help define test data and environment requirements. Participate in daily defect / status calls to ensure defects are documented, tracked & defect fixes are retested in timely manner and report the status of test execution Assist Test Lead in the delivery of test estimations, planning activities in adherence to standards for system testing Provide support to the technology peers in trouble shooting issues May develop, debug, execute and maintain performance testing scripts using various performance testing tools. Respect the technology delivery practices, standards and project management disciplines. Continuously enhance knowledge and expertise and keep current at technology and domain front Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role 5+ Years of experience in functional manual & automation testing Working experience of API Testing using Rest Assured Working experience of Automation using Selenium Knowledge of Maven & GIT Hands on knowledge of Core Java Hands on knowledge of Cucumber Knowledge of JUnit/ TestNG Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills Problem solving Engineering mindset Nice to have Skills Domain knowledge in Payments for Canadian banks Knowledge of working with CI/ CD Pipeline Scheduling via Jenkins, GitHub Options Mainframe experience Working experience of API Testing using SOA Test / SOAP UI/ Ready API/ POSTMAN etc. Payments Wires Domain knowledge Basic issue analysis and triaging skills CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000–$110,000 CAD. This role is an existing vacancy.
