Position Description CGI is seeking Technical Architects to support the design and evaluation of technology solutions for a project based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In this role, you will contribute to the development of architecture models, evaluate technical solutions, and provide technical guidance while collaborating with business, technical, and vendor teams. We are looking for professionals with intermediate-level Technical or Solution Architecture experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of architectural standards and cloud technologies. Your future duties and responsibilities Support the design and evaluation of technology solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. Develop and maintain architecture models and technical documentation. Provide technical advice and recommendations with minimal guidance. Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to evaluate solutions. Apply relevant architectural standards and practices when developing technical solutions. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role 7-10 years experience as a Technical Architect or Solution Architect. Experience evaluating technology solutions and providing technical advice. Experience developing architecture models and technical documentation. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business, technical, and vendor teams. Working knowledge of architectural standards such as TOGAF or ISO/IEC/IEEE 42020. Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. Experience with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for one of the two available positions. Assets Experience working in the utilities sector. Familiarity with Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect. Experience with SCADA data historian systems, such as AVEVA PI System. Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and practices. Compensation CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000–$130,000. Candidates should have 7–10 years of Technical or Solution Architecture experience, including evaluating solutions, providing technical advice, and developing architecture models and documentation. Strong communication and collaboration skills, knowledge of architectural standards such as TOGAF or ISO/IEC/IEEE 42020, and experience with Microsoft Azure are required; SCADA experience is required for one of the two positions.
