Together, we can build a better world. Job Description At Chandos, safety is at the core of everything we do. We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Administrator to champion our commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment on our construction projects. In this role, you will work closely with the site leadership to maintain accurate records, monitor safety performance, and ensure all workers meet regulatory and company requirements. Perform daily and weekly pre‑job safety audits across active work areas. Participate in Management Safety Walks Document findings, track corrective actions, and follow up with supervisors to ensure closure. Provide Orientations as required by the project Verify FLHAs, permits, and equipment inspections are completed and compliant. Maintain all safety records including FLHAs, toolbox talks, training certificates, incident reports, and inspection logs. Scanning and uploading of documentation. Prepare weekly and monthly safety summaries for Safety Manager Ensure documentation is organized, accessible, and inspection‑ready at all times within SharePoint and BIM. Act as an active member of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee. Assist with meeting preparation, minutes, workplace inspections, and follow‑up actions. Support communication of JOHSC recommendations to site teams. Assist with implementing company safety programs, policies, and procedures. Support onboarding of new workers, ensuring training and certifications are verified. Help coordinate emergency response drills, safety campaigns, and regulatory updates. Attendance Expectations: On-site at CNL Chalk River Laboratories Monday to Friday. Qualifications Minimum 2–3 years experience in construction safety administration or related field. Strong working knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Construction Projects Regulation 213/91. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and digital safety platforms; experience with e‑Compliance, Sharepoint and BIM considered an asset. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of documentation. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with field teams and supervisors. Experience supporting safety audits, incident investigations, or corrective‑action tracking. Familiarity with construction site operations, high‑risk work activities, and contractor coordination. Working at Heights, WHMIS, or other safety training certifications. Ability to work 10‑hour days as required by project schedule. Compensation Transparency Expected Salary: $66,300 - $71,400 The base salary range for this role is listed above and may vary based on your experience.
