We are searching for an experienced Front End Loader Operator to join our hardworking crew here in the Okanagan. *The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience working in the sand and gravel industry, as well as:* * Experience around equipment * Eye for detail * Good communication skills * Great work ethic and attitude * Attentive to safety standards Wage will be based upon experience. _\*\*Please note that we are not accepting out-of-country resumes at this time._ *Responsibilities:* * Must be able to communicate effectively with others * Must complete pre-operation inspections on equipment * Must be able to work with minimal supervision * Must be able to work well with others * Must perform daily safety and maintenance checks for equipment * Must perform daily maintenance on equipment * Must be able to assist in shoveling and changing crusher screens *Education & Experience:* * Must have experience loading aggregate for crushing * Must have experience loading trucks * Minimum 5 years of experience in the sand and gravel industry is preferred * Mechanical skills is an asset * Any experience driving a rock truck or operating an excavator is an asset * Computer skills is an asset *Physical Demands:* * Lifting up to 50lbs * Sitting for extended periods of time * Climbing on and off equipment * Working in varying temperatures and weather conditions *Work Environment:* * Working outdoors in all seasons * Working around heavy equipment * Exposure to dust and loud noises *Job Type:* Full-time *Benefits:* * Dental care * Extended health care * RRSP match * Vision care *Ability to commute/relocate:* * Spallumcheen, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) *Experience:* * Sand and Gravel Pit: 5 years (required) *Work Location:* In person Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * RRSP match * Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: * Spallumcheen, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): * Please list the types of loaders, and other equipment, you have experience operating.
