We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, operate, and continuously improve cybersecurity capabilities across endpoint, identity, network, cloud, and security operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong enterprise experience across security engineering, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and cloud security. This is a hands-on technical engineering role, focused on building, configuring, investigating, tuning, and automating security technologies. The role is not primarily focused on governance, risk, compliance, policy, or security management, but on strengthening the organization’s security posture through practical technical implementation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Security Operations & SIEM: Design, configure, and optimize Microsoft Sentinel, including data ingestion, analytics rules, workbooks, alerts, and security monitoring. Threat Detection & Hunting: Develop and tune detection capabilities using Microsoft Defender XDR and KQL, and proactively hunt for suspicious activity and emerging threats. Identity & Cloud Security: Implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and cloud environments, with a focus on identity protection and Zero Trust principles. Endpoint & Network Security: Engineer and improve security controls across endpoints, networks, and cloud infrastructure to reduce attack surface and strengthen protection. Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents, perform technical analysis, support containment and remediation, and contribute to post-incident improvements. Vulnerability Management: Manage and improve vulnerability identification, prioritization, remediation, and reporting across enterprise technology environments. Security Automation: Develop automation and integrations to improve detection, investigation, response, and operational efficiency. Zero Trust: Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of Zero Trust security architecture across identity, devices, applications, data, and infrastructure. Security Engineering: Evaluate security technologies, implement technical solutions, and continuously tune existing controls to address evolving threats. Security Frameworks: Apply principles from the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and industry best practices to strengthen technical security capabilities. 7–10+ years of hands-on experience with bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, cyber security or equivalent Strong practical experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, and KQL. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure security, endpoint security, network security, and cloud security. Demonstrated experience with incident response, threat detection, threat hunting, and security investigations. Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and security remediation. Experience implementing Zero Trust security principles in an enterprise environment. Strong scripting, automation, and security orchestration capabilities. Ability to analyze complex security events and translate findings into effective technical controls and remediation. Working knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and its application within an enterprise security environment.
