POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION: Operate a variety of scrap metal machines. Load and Unload scrap metal from trucks using forklift. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent sitting while operating shearing, bailing, and forklift equipment Some standing, walking, and lifting when in the yard and sorting scrap metal MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Ability to work well with other employees Ability to follow instructions Basic math skills Basic reading skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience running multiple machines Ability to drive a forklift truck MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: Operate shearing machines Operate bailing machines Sort scrap metal Load and unload trucks in the yard Operate forklift as necessary Ensure a safe work environment and contribute to a highly engaging culture that fosters safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, and trust RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SUPERVISION: Business specific, please update at time of posting ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: Business specific, please update at time of posting Primary internal customers: Business specific, please update at time of posting Primary external customers: Business specific, please update at time of posting POSITION CHALLENGES: None We offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, along with a 401(k) plan that includes employer matching and profit sharing.
