Job summary

The Opportunity The Senior Financial Analyst, Operations Decision Support provides analysis and insights to support pricing, revenue optimization, online presence, and sales and marketing decisions across Chartwell’s retirement residences. The role develops reporting and measurement approaches, analyzes leading and lagging indicators, and translates data from multiple sources into actionable recommendations. Working with Operations, Sales, Marketing, Online Presence, Information Services, and external partners, the Senior Financial Analyst supports revenue growth, occupancy objectives, and data-driven decision-making. Key Accountabilities Pricing & Revenue Optimization * Support the Director, Pricing & Revenue Optimization in the development and execution of pricing and revenue strategies, including ongoing pricing activities and revenue analysis for Operations business partners. * Partner with Sales and Operations to develop, manage, and maximize suite rates and rate strategies that support overall and residence-specific occupancy goals. * Identify revenue opportunities through competitor analysis, environmental scanning, market modelling, business-mix yield management, pricing concepts, and third-party market data. * Promote revenue management innovation and support consistent revenue management practices and accountability across Chartwell’s retirement residences. Digital Marketing & Online Presence Analytics * Support Chartwell’s Online Presence strategy by analyzing web traffic and customer behaviour using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Eloqua, email analytics dashboards, social media analytics, heatmaps, and clickstream analytics. * Produce reporting on digital outcomes and use data and analytics to inform website design decisions and improve online performance. * Measure the effectiveness of SEM, PPC, and SEO strategies and translate findings into actionable recommendations. * Coordinate website tagging and tracking parameters using Google Tag Manager to support reliable measurement. * Partner with Online Presence and Information Services to identify data-capture gaps and implement enhancements. Reporting, Dashboards & Decision Support * Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for Operations, Sales, Marketing, and senior management using tools such as Excel, Word, OneStream, Snowflake, Business Intelligence platforms, and clickstream analytics. * Develop holistic dashboards that integrate data from multiple systems, websites, and sources and clearly communicate trends, outcomes, and opportunities to senior management. * Consolidate and validate data to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency. * Analyze leading and lagging performance indicators, interpret trends, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions. Forecasting, Budgeting & Business Planning * Collaborate with the Strategic Planning and Decision Support team on monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and revenue tools. * Support the team’s business plan by understanding priorities and delivering assigned analysis and reporting. * Contribute analytical support to projects involving OneStream, Snowflake, reporting platforms, data sources, and Business Intelligence tools. Data Strategy & Continuous Improvement * Serve as a subject matter expert supporting data strategy across multiple listening posts, including websites, CRM systems, surveys, testing, and market research. * Work with internal and external partners to improve data collection, reporting, and measurement practices. * Develop and maintain clear operational procedures and supporting documentation. * Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve analytical processes and tools. * Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Education: * Post-secondary degree in business, computer science, statistics, analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: * Seven to ten years of progressive experience in pricing, revenue management, or commercial analytics, including demonstrated ownership of pricing strategy and recommendations to senior leadership. * A minimum of five years of experience with web analytics tools and advanced methodologies, including testing, competitive analysis, surveys, and market research. * Experience working in a large organization with multiple functions or business units is preferred. Technical Knowledge: * Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills, is required. * Experience with web and digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Eloqua, email and social media analytics, heatmaps, and clickstream analytics. * Proficiency in SEM, PPC, and SEO strategies, including measurement of campaign performance. * Experience with tag management, particularly Google Tag Manager, is required. * Experience writing and tuning SQL queries in an online environment is an asset. * Experience in e-commerce or online support environments is an asset. * Familiarity with W3C standards, AODA, and anti-spam legislation is an asset. Skills & Abilities: * Passion for design, analytics, and digital marketing. * Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights. * Ability to use data and analytics to inform website design decisions and improve performance. * Ability to interact effectively with all levels of end users and technical resources. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas in a user-friendly format. * Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners. * Ability to prioritize and execute competing tasks, work independently, and seek support when required. * Bilingualism in English and French is an asset. Effort The mental effort is high and requires sustained attention, analysis, and concentration while working with people, data, and computer systems. The physical effort is moderate and includes keyboarding, walking, and sitting. Working Conditions Work is generally performed in an office environment. Flexibility in work hours may be required during peak periods, including occasional evenings or weekends. Travel and a criminal reference check are required.
