Job summary
The New Construction Water Treatment Estimator is responsible for estimating and securing water treatment business on new construction projects. This role focuses on engagement with engineers, contractors, owners, and developers to influence system design, secure specifications, bid on jobs, promote sales, and manage awarded projects through construction and startup. Required to be in the office for two days per week. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new construction opportunities across Canada Engage with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, developers, and owners during design and construction phases Influence water treatment specifications for boilers, cooling towers, and closed loop systems Pricing proposals as per bid requirements, and submittal support for new projects Manage awarded projects through installation, commissioning, and startup phases Coordinate internally with technical, service, and operational teams to support successful system startup Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, reporting, and forecasting aligned with Chem‑Aqua sales expectations Represent Chem‑Aqua as a technical and commercial advisor throughout the construction lifecycle Technical and Sales Expectations Working knowledge of commercial and industrial water treatment systems Ability to discuss chemical treatment programs, system protection, and long‑term performance considerations Fully conversant with reviewing construction documents, plans, and specifications Strong business development discipline with a focus on new opportunity creation and sales Clear ownership of construction projects through formal handoff Qualifications Experience in project estimation Experience in HVAC systems, water treatment, or construction projects preferred College degree preferred or equivalent experience Strong communication skills with technical and non‑technical audiences Organized, self‑directed, and comfortable working independently Valid driver’s license and ability to travel if required
