POSITION SUMMARY: Join our established and collaborative sales team as an Area Sales Manager, leading industrial sales and driving growth across British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario. This role will build strategic customer and channel relationships, identify growth opportunities, and position Chemelex’s RAYCHEM and TRACER heat tracing products and heat management solutions to support our customers’ evolving needs. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical sales mindset, enjoys building trusted customer relationships, and thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment. This position is based in the Greater Vancouver Area, and the successful candidate is expected to reside within the region to maintain proximity to key customers and market opportunities. Regular travel throughout the assigned territory is required. IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL: Lead industrial sales across British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario, representing Chemelex RAYCHEM and TRACER heat tracing products and heat management solutions. Drive and execute territory sales strategies to achieve or exceed Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets and drive sustainable growth. Identify, develop, and secure new product and service opportunities across capital projects, sustaining projects, and maintenance activities. Build and strengthen strategic relationships with end users, engineering firms, contractors, channel partners, and manufacturer representatives throughout the territory. Partner with customers and consulting engineers to understand technical and business needs and position Chemelex solutions that deliver value and solve heat management challenges. Collaborate with Regional Sales, Operations, Engineering, Proposal & Estimating, and other functional teams to develop solutions and successfully convert opportunities into business. Develop and deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations to engineering firms, owners, and other key decision-makers, both virtually and in person. Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to help shape regional growth strategies. Own territory pipeline and opportunity management through Salesforce, maintaining accurate customer activity, project updates, sales forecasts, and funnel development. Develop and deliver compelling product and service presentations that demonstrate value, address customer needs, and support business development with owners, and key decision-makers, both virtually and in person. Represent Chemelex professionally in customer meetings, industry events, site visits, and other business development activities. WHAT YOU BRING: A university degree and/or technical diploma; education in engineering, technology, business, or a related field is preferred. 5+ years of industrial sales, technical sales, business development, or related experience, ideally within an industrial or engineered-product environment. Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships, identify opportunities, and successfully progress complex sales opportunities through the sales cycle. Strong understanding of technical sales and consultative selling principles and the ability to translate customer needs into practical solutions. Excellent communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and business stakeholders. A collaborative approach and demonstrated ability to work effectively across Sales, Project Management and Proposals and other functions. Strong commercial judgment, initiative, and a results-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently, manage a large geographic territory, and effectively prioritize multiple customers and opportunities. Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce and standard Microsoft applications. A valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and to customer/project sites as required.
