Temporary Contract 9 to 12 months Hybrid Position - M-Th OnSite in Edmonton, Fridays option to work remotely What You Will Experience In This Position Assist in the design and refresh of electronic circuits and systems for heat trace and leak detection controllers Create/modify schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and assembly documentation in Altium; generate standardized manufacturing outputs (e.g., fabrication/assembly packages) as part of release. Contract Manufacturing and Operations support to ensure seamless production of existing products. Support electronic components obsolescence management; update assembly drawings, BOMs, and specifications; coordinate alternates and revision release. Create test plans, conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of controllers and systems Support manufacturing team (internal/external) by troubleshooting test fixtures and production issues; contribute to timely fixes and new release Own documentation maintenance for legacy products: layouts, drawings, purchase specifications, and controlled revisions through change actions/ECOs in PLM (Enovia or equivalent). Support activities related to worldwide industrial re-approvals and re-certifications for hazardous and non-hazardous areas Integrate with new product development team on HW domain for seamless product handoff & delivery to market Coordinate VAVE and cost-reduction activities with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers; leverage manufacturability analysis where applicable to reduce production cost. Support end to end test and troubleshooting activities for NPI product readiness and transitions to operations You Have Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. 2+ years of circuit design experience with strong understanding of analog and digital electronics Proficiency with Altium for schematics, PCB layouts, BOM generation, and assembly documentation. Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes Knowledge of production test fixture design and maintenance is bonus Firmware/Programming skills with C++, Labview, Python, C# is a plus Working knowledge of PLM change control (Enovia preferred) and fundamentals of ERP-facing documentation Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to support manufacturing and engineering stakeholders. Requirements
