CIC is seeking an experienced leader to join its seven-member Board of Directors as Treasurer and provide financial direction in support of its Strategic Plan. Comptant plus de 4 000 membres, l’ICC favorise les échanges entre ses membres, soutient le perfectionnement professionnel et renforce la collaboration entre le milieu universitaire, l’industrie, le gouvernement et les secteurs connexes. L’ICC recherche un dirigeant expérimenté pour siéger à son conseil d’administration (composé de sept membres) en tant que trésorier et contribuer à son orientation financière en appui à ses priorités stratégiques. The Role The Treasurer provides financial leadership, oversight, and strategic advice to the Board, working with the Executive Director, National Team, Finance Committee, and fellow Board members. Key responsibilities include: • Reviewing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, investments, and reserves. • Supporting financial planning, controls, policies, and risk management. • Ensuring appropriate financial reporting, accountability, and safeguarding of CIC funds. • Advising the Board on the financial implications of strategic initiatives. • Leading the Finance Committee and supporting audit, tax, and regulatory matters. CIC’s average annual budget is about $1.7 million and is operationally supported by a professional National Team led by an Executive Director. Who We’re Seeking Candidates should have strong administrative or leadership background. Experience with financial statements, budgeting, governance, risk management, or not-for-profit organizations is valuable. Board or committee experience, as well as past participation with CIC and its constituent societies (CSChE and CSC) is an asset. Expertise in accounting is not required. We welcome collaborative, strategic leaders committed to accountability, transparency, and ethical stewardship. Le profil recherché Les candidats doivent posséder une solide expérience en gestion, en gouvernance ou en leadership. Une expérience en matière d'états financiers, de budgétisation, de gouvernance, de gestion des risques ou d'organismes sans but lucratif est un atout. Une expérience au sein d'un conseil d'administration ou d'un comité, ainsi qu'une participation antérieure aux activités de l’ICC et de ses sociétés membres (SCGCh et SCC), constituent un avantage. Une formation spécialisée en comptabilité n’est pas requise. Nous recherchons un dirigeant collaboratif et stratégique, engagé envers la responsabilité, la transparence et une gestion éthique.
