About the opportunity: We’re looking for a passionate and talented electronics designer to help deliver robust and reliable solutions that are the backbone of these experiences. Be part of the team that will drive the development of new technologies that will break the bounds of current display resolution, contrast and colorimetry performance. You’ll have ownership for the layout of mid to high complexity PCB designs on multi-layer printed circuit boards. You will interface with various engineering disciplines daily to deliver a high-quality design within the given design requirements. Once completed, you will be responsible for generating all fabrication deliverables and interfacing with our vendors to ensure that your design is optimized for testability and manufacturability. Responsibilities: Work closely with the electrical designers to layout circuit boards of varying complexity Setup design constraints for impedances and spacing in the layout tool Route high speed signals following best practices for signal and power integrity Recommend appropriate PCB layer count and material for each design Participate in schematic and layout design reviews Create and release boards release package to internal PLM system Implementation of DFA and DFM changes as requested by board vendors What we’re offering A competitive salary, vacation, health & dental benefits, and employer-matched pension plan. The experience and skills we value: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field of study Five or more years of PCB layout experience Proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB Design tools Layout experience with high pin count BGAs and high-speed memory interfaces An understanding of controlled impedance stackups and routing for signal integrity Knowledgeable in analog layout techniques and practices Familiarity with PCB fabrication and assembly processes Possess a working knowledge of IPC Standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills What will put you ahead: Ten or more years of PCB layout experience Possess an IPC CID or CID+ certification Experience with Mentor Graphics PADS / DxDesigner Experience routing high voltage / high current designs Knowledge of ECAD Library development practices Ability to develop scripts in Cadence SKILL Job Vacancy This posting is to fill an existing open position.
