Job Description CIMA+ is currently seeking qualified individuals for the position of Senior Roadway Construction Inspector to support our growing Transportation team in Edmonton. This position is primarily field-based and involves construction inspection, contract administration, and coordination of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Edmonton region and across Alberta. Responsibilities Monitor contractor operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, drawings, and applicable standards Contract administration, including monitoring construction progress and schedules, preparation of daily and weekly reports, maintaining project records and site diaries, reviewing contractor work procedure submissions, quality control testing records, and reviewing on-site quantities Liaison with contractors, engineering staff, project managers, and project owners throughout project delivery Provide field supervision, including coordination of construction layout and inspection of ongoing roadway and transportation projects Attend site meetings and assist with deficiency identification and resolution Support ongoing roadway construction and infrastructure projects surrounding Edmonton and across Alberta Qualifications Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Degree in Civil Engineering Eligibility for registration with ASET (C.E.T.) or APEGA (E.I.T.) 10+ years of related experience in roadway construction inspection and contract administration Experience with roadway construction activities including earthworks, grading, subgrade preparation, drainage, and asphalt paving Experience with municipal or provincial roadway projects Familiarity with Alberta Transportation standards and specifications is considered an asset Previous field experience in construction surveying is considered an asset Previous project experience with Alberta Transportation and/or the City of Edmonton is considered an asset Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD is considered an asset Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction coordination procedures Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related software applications Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and willingness to work on projects in the Edmonton region and across Alberta. Requirements
