Job summary
Overview As part of the Department of Corporate Services, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill one (1) Temporary, Full-Time Human Resources Coordinator position. This position is expected to last for a period of approximately 12 months. Under the direction of the Director of Corporate Services, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the control and administration of the City's Payroll system as well as the Human Resource policies, processes, and practices. Duties & Responsibilities Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll and all related functions (source deductions, ROE’s and T4’s) for City Employees (Union & Out-of-Scope), Council and Fire Department. Administer the employee benefit plan, pension plan and other employment-related benefits and pay obligations. Provide recruiting support, new hire packages and employee orientation. Assist management with progressive discipline including writing discipline letters, performing investigations, and attending meetings. Organize, track, and maintain HR records and reports. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Payroll Administration, Business or Human Resources is strongly preferred. Relevant HR Administrative experience (i.e. screening resumes, processing payroll, reviewing new hire documents, training, coordinating interviews), an asset. Proficient with Microsoft Office, experience with GP Diamond is an asset. Ability to operate with high levels of integrity and confidentiality. Compensation: This is an out-of-scope position with a salary range of $66,446 - $80,766 per year dependent on qualifications. Vacation will be paid on each cheque. Employees are eligible for the employer matched defined pension plan and a comprehensive health and wellness plan. General work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Requirements
Post-secondary education in Payroll Administration, Business, or Human Resources is strongly preferred. Experience in HR administration and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required, with GP Diamond experience considered an asset.
