Participate in a 12-month recruit training program and complete the required BC Structure Firefighter Minimum Training Standards for Exterior Firefighters. Attend ongoing training and respond to fire and emergency incidents at any time, representing the department professionally.

Operate City vehicles, forklifts, small equipment, and tools safely, follow required safety procedures, and provide occasional coverage for higher-level operational roles.
