Role Description The Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB. This role is responsible for guiding patients and families through the orthodontic treatment process, including presenting treatment plans, explaining procedures, timelines, and financial options, and ensuring all questions are answered clearly. The coordinator schedules and manages appointments, prepares and updates patient records, and works closely with orthodontists and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow. Day-to-day tasks include verifying insurance coverage, processing financial arrangements, and following up with patients regarding treatment progress and upcoming visits. The role also involves delivering high-quality customer service at reception and in treatment consultations, maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere, and supporting practice policies and patient education initiatives. Qualifications Strong skills in Treatment Planning and coordination to present, explain, and manage orthodontic care plans. Knowledge of Insurance processes, including benefits verification, claims coordination, and financial discussion with patients. Excellent Customer Service skills to provide a welcoming, supportive experience for patients and families. Clear, professional Communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with patients, families, and clinical team members. Understanding of Dental Care concepts and terminology, ideally with experience in orthodontics or pediatric dentistry. Previous experience in a dental or medical office, preferably in a treatment coordinator, administrative, or patient care role. Proficiency with practice management software, electronic records, scheduling systems, and basic office technology. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented clinical environment and maintain patient confidentiality. Relevant education or training in dental administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is an asset.
